What a blast from the past this has been for me reading everyone's comments.  Holy cow, 20 years! 

Living in Wyoming with my beautiful wife, Chihiro, and our handful, but always loveable cat, Caesar.  Hoping to add to our family soon something in the human variety, but hasn't worked out yet.  

Did a lot of different things after graduation.  Will try not to bore you too much with the details, but here they are...

Graduated from Furman in '92, with my bachelors in Health Science.  Worked a little while in Myrtle and Greenville, as a YMCA instructor and Corporate Fitness intern.  Didn't really like those jobs and decided to go on and get a masters in something.  Got a letter from the University of Nevada in Reno to apply to their Nutrition program.  One thing led to another and destiny called for me to head west.  

Had a few mid 90's hiccups in the 'ole path to get the papyrus; lost love, 20's anxiety and angst, stints in San Francisco, and Davis, CA.  Finally got the degree in 2000.  Last year of my program, met an amazing Japanese woman, my future wife, Chihiro, at a St. Patrick's Day party I was throwing.  She was a grad student in Economics.  Made a date to snowboard up in Tahoe, and the rest is history.  

We married in 2002 and honeymooned in Japan.  Am one of the biggest fans of sushi this side of the Prime Meridian.  Chihiro makes some pretty sweet Japanese dishes.  You'll have to come visit us out here in Wyoming, and I'll show you what I mean.

On with the story...worked as a Health Analyst for the State of NV after getting married.  Slowly came to the realization that I didn't really like that job either, way too much computer work.  Met some environmental scientists while at the State, and luckily for me, my wife supported me in a career change to work in the dirt!  

Got a good offer from Penn State in their Environmental Soil Science program to teach undergrad classes, and go to school at the same time.  

We packed up shop from Reno, and headed east.  We were in State College, PA until 2006 when I got a job offer to work as an environmental scientist for the USDA in Rock Springs, WY.  

We packed up shop again, and have been in the high desert just about 3 hours east of Salt Lake City for the last two years.  We love it for the most part, except for the bitter cold winters.  

My wife enjoys her job at an engineering firm doing GIS and CAD drafting, as do I digging in the dirt all spring, summer, and fall surrounded by some of the most beautiful geology in the country.  

I recently lost my Dad to a battle with lung cancer.  It's been a trying year since we found out his diagnosis last May.  My Mom is still living in Myrtle, as do a lot of my extended family.      

Really looking forward to this reunion in October.  Will be great to catch up with the Class of '88.  Thanks again, Joe, for putting all this together.  And thanks to everyone for posting your information.  Really enjoyed it!
