Momma always said life goes by in a flash. The older I get the more correct I find her to be. I work for the City of Myrtle Beach Fire Department, where I have been since 1993.  I am currently working at station #3 on the south end of Myrtle Beach. In addition to the fire department, my wife and I own two businesses. We have a real estate appraisal firm and a port a john business. I am happily married to my wife, Kari. I have three children. Two from a previous marriage and a son with Kari. Mackenzie is 13, Shayla is 10 and CJ will be 3 very soon. We are currently living in Murrells Inlet and have no desire to leave the coast. 20 years already!  I married Dusty Cook and we have two children now 5 and 12.  I attended Baptist College of Charleston and then graduated from Coastal Carolina.  I received my masters from Clemson University and reside in Murrells Inlet. Lakewood Elementary is the school I have taught in now for 13 years.  My children are creek rats and we love spending our time on the beach, in the river, and inlet.

After SHS graduation... I lived in Charleston, SC for a while and attended Trident College obtaining a Culinary Arts Degree/ Business.  Then moved to Lake Tahoe, California... worked for Heavenly Valley Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe.  Then moved to San Francisco, Ca.  Loved the city- but missed Tahoe- so I moved back there for another two years in Tahoe City on the North Shore... met a great man there and we were engaged.  Later moved to the Isle Of Palms, SC... then back to Ca.  This time I lived in Santa Rosa, Ca in Sonoma County where I obtained my Real Estate Training and License.  Moved to Fremont, Ca...  then decided to leave California all together(and my fiance') and move back to the beach.  I became licensed here in SC as a Realtor and have been ever since... over last 10 years.  Have been with Surfside Realty Company for 8 of those years as of 2008.  I was in a 5 year committed relationship but recently went through a break up.  Getting happy all over again.  I skipped a lot of "life" info from the years that have passed... but let's just say that this lady has learned a lot through the years, had a lot of fun, traveled all over, met some incredible characters, knows herself finally, has a good life, and learning more about life everyday!  :)  In my free time I love to travel, Scuba dive, kayak, paint, workout, and try new restaurants! I went to VA for a while where I had 2 kids, Michelle & Kieth (now 17 and 15).  That wasn't working so well, so I ended up at Elkhart, IN looking for work.  That's where I met Cindy. She's from the west coast and we met in the middle. We got married in 1997 on the day I graduated from Paris Island USMC.  She has two kids and togther we have 3 gorgeous grand-daughters. I've been driving a truck for about 8 yrs. Mostly I like it.  This past August, Michelle graduated from Army basic training before her senior year.  She'll be graduating with several college courses under her belt.

I've been way out of touch for the last 20yrs, but signing onto facebook a few days ago, seems to have started me on my road to reconnecting.  Talk about making me feel like a kid again.

 

I left the beach the day after graduation and moved back with my family in Maryland.  I went to Mexico for about 18 months.  I can read, write and speak Spanish fluently – Ms. Briggs and Ms. Biddle would be proud!  I came back to Maryland and got  married.  Scarlett and I just had our 14^th anniversary.  Our kids are:

Madison – 3

Devin – 2

 

I’ve been working at Discovery Channel for almost 10yrs.  Before that I worked for a health insurance company.  Always a geek with computers – Mr. Mountain would be proud.  I had my dream job last Thanksgiving/Christmas – working retail at Best Buy!

 

I spend my free time with my family; I attempt to coach the kids’ soccer teams.  I like photography – Mr. Roth would be proud – and I love collecting and digitizing family pictures and videos.

 

Back in 1999, I even got my motorcycle license and a motorcycle – Craig and Scott would be proud!

 

For me, 1987-1988 was a pivotal time in my life.  I owe so much to so many people that made those short nine months so dramatic for me.  I am a man of few words and little expression, but my heart swells when I reflect on all I learned from 1988 and Socastee High.

Lets see where do I start? Well I graduated from nursing school in 1990 and have been in Geriatric Nursing ever since. I was married in 1990 and like alot i didn't get it right the 1st time but have to wonderful boys from it William (17) and Tristan (15). My second try I got it right,Married a wonderful man. With this marriage I brought into my life 3 wonderful daughters ages 27-21, 1 son who is 2. 2 Granddaughters and 2 Grandsons,but im not old enough for all of them LOL. I lost my Grandmother in March of 05 I took care of her for 5 years and Feb 08 I lost my mother so right now its hard because I took care of her most of my adult life,But I had alot of wonderful friends and family to help me thur it all. Muahzzzzzzzzz Ang thanks for always being there. I can't wait to see everyone at the reunion!!!!
